ONE SOLITARY LIFE
He was born in an obscured village
He worked in a carpenter's shop until he was 30 years
He then became an itinerant preacher
He never had a family or owned a house
He didn't go to college. He had no credentials
He was only 33 years when the public turned against him
His friends ran away. He was turned over to his enemies
And went through the mockery of trials
He was nailed to a cross between two criminals
Whiles he was dying his executioners gambled for his clothing
The only property he had on earth
He was laid in a borrowed tomb
Two thousand years have come and gone
And today He is the central figure of the human race
And all the parliaments that ever sat
All kings that ever reigned
Have not affected the lives of people on this earth
As much as that ONE SOLITARY LIFE, JESUS CHRIST.
JUST SMILE
When it becomes bleak and cloudy
And the sun hides its face for long
When tears like rain drops
From the angry skies
Pour on you relentlessly
Flooding your saddened soul
JUST GIVE IT A SMILE
When the once calmed waves
Seem so rough and angry
When you appear to always
Start on a wrong foot
When difficulties outweigh you
And all friends dessert you
And you become so blue
Remember to give it a smile |
