THEME: CHOSEN TO BEAR FRUIT
INTRODUCTION
We thank God for another NUPS-G year. Our theme for
the year is ‘CHOSEN TO BEAR FRUIT’ taken
from John 15: 16. Jesus Christ is reminding us that
He chose us for a reason; that is to bear fruit that
remains. He wants us to have a lasting relationship
with Him which He likens to a tree and its branches
so that we can bear fruit. We have been called for a
fruitful living.
Our study begins with the topic ‘Chosen, A Call
Into the Kingdom of God’; trying to establish
the fact that we should not think of bearing fruit without
being sure of the nature of our relationship with the
Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The study then proceeds
into other areas such as ‘Conditions necessary
for fruit bearing’. Producing fruit that remains’,
‘the Holy Spirit and fruit bearing’, ‘Hindrances
to fruit bearing’ and ‘rewards for righteous
living’.
It is our hope and expectation that by the end of this
study, students of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana
will have started bearing fruit that will last in anywhere
we find ourselves: the school, church, family and nation.

you are a sinner and asking for His righteousness
• Responding, that is, being sorry for your sins
and turning away from them
• Respond to the call by inviting Jesus Christ
into your life

Saviour
