Preamble:
“Let me burn out for God. After all, whatever
God may appoint, prayer is the great thing. Oh that
I may be a man of prayer” Henry Marlyn
A brief History
The Prayer Tower was established through a vision God
gave a brother Roderick Okuampah Ayeh, the then National
Assistant Organising Secretary and Prayer Director of
NUPS-G in the latter part of the year 2000. The main
purpose of the tower then was to be the “powerhouse”
for NUPS-G (both National and local) activities. This
brother tried to share this wonderful vision with the
Prayer Secretaries of the various coordinating branches
in the Union to establish such Towers on their campuses
to pray into activities of the Union. The KNUST Prayer
Tower has been sustained till now because Bro. Ayeh
teamed up with the then coordinating branch Prayer Secretary,
Bro. Charles Amarkwei ( now a student at Trinity Theological
Seminary, Accra) so it naturally became one of the responsibilities
of subsequent Prayer Secretaries of the Union.
The Tower Today.
The prayer tower today is not only the powerhouse of
the Union but its members have also become the watchmen
for the Presbyterian Church. The tower deals with special
request from members of the Union and of course we do
prayer for ourselves
too.
Invitation
“I looked for a man among them who would build
up the broken wall and stand before me in the gap on
behalf of the land so I will not destroy it, but I found
none.” Ezekiel 22:30. Are there no broken walls
in the Union and the Church? Does this scripture not
apply to us? Are we just waiting for the lord to pour
His wrath on us and consume us as He did to Israel?
The invitation is open to all who have the heart and
desire to pray. The lord might not invite you to be
a leader of this Union but He is inviting you today
to be an intercessor for this Union. Is it not time
to answer the lord favorably? Remember the secret of
praying is praying in secret. Hope to see you this and
EVERY FRIDAY AT THE QUEEN ELIZABETH II HALL
CHAPEL FROM 6:30PM TO 7:30PM. God bless you.
