TOPIC: PRODUCING FRUIT THAT REMAINS
PASSAGE: John 15:1-8
MEMORY VERSE: John 15:5

INTRODUCTION
Every farmer expects to have good fruit from whatever he/she sows. The Bible uses a tree and its parts to explain to us the way God classifies us. Christ describes the parts by using the vine which could be likened to the stem of a plant. The lesson will lead us into what God expects of us as the Bible likens us to the branches of the plant.

QUESTIONS
1. According to the passage, who is described as the

2. Can a branch bear fruit on its own? Give reasons.

3. What happens to crops that do not bear fruit? Vrs 2

4. How can we abide in the Lord and He in us?

5. What is pruning? What will you liken pruning to in Christian life? Is it necessary for the Christian? Heb. 12:5-11; II Tim. 3:16; Prov. 27:17

6. What are some of the things that hinder us from abiding and bearing fruit?

7. What are the benefits we receive from abiding in the Lord? Vrs 7&8.

CONCLUSION
To make the gardener (GOD) enjoy his harvest, we need to be simply attached to Christ (the Vine) to be able to bear fruit.
